Woke up to another day of rain, rain, and more rain. Weather predictions said the rain was ending "real soon now" so we vanned to breakfast, returned, bit the bullet and headed out in a slight drizzle. As the day progressed, the precipitation decreased. A couple more degrees or some sun would have made it a perfect fall riding day, but alas, temps were low and the sun really never made an appearance. Still after a day of inactivity, the riding felt great.
The ride was quite nice with one of the best stretches of road--KY 44 along Indian Creek. A quiet road paralleling the creek with its many 2 foot rocky waterfalls.
A stop at another bourbon distillery (Wild Turkey), another crossing of the Kentucky river and we entered Versailles (that is Ver-sales...sigh, not Ver-sigh) and a cute B&B with hot tea, cookies, and cats waiting to warm us up.
