A short ride to breakfast at the Keeneland Race track's cafe. With the horses running, activity was high.
After some time watching the horses work out on the track, we headed down the road to the Kentucky Horse Park to see the shrine to Man O' War. Really, it was a shrine, but for non-horse people, it helped to put the area into perspective.
The rest of the morning's ride was through race horse country. Large estates, dedicated to the raising of horses--pasture, stone and picket fences, and lots of green. Absolutely gorgeous.
