2009 Glacier

A cycling vacation (with a little hiking tossed in) in Glacier/Waterton with Timberline.

Just short of 320 miles of cycling with over 18,000 feet of climbing--for a couple of flatlanders, a lot of climbing.  Still, when an 8% grade is steep, most of the climbs were gentle enough to allow you to settle in with a low gear and a steady cadence to just enjoy the views.

Food-wise?  This was the trip of polenta--how many ways can the national parks prepare polenta?  Polenta with spinach, polenta with tomato, polenta with mushrooms, heck, we even had the option of polenta with grits--hmmm, I guess that's how many ways can you serve corn meal?
