Glad you asked. As is known in some circles, Cass, of Cass and Rat Horn fame, is a young thing who strives to emulate her hero Pippi Longstocking. Unlike Pippi, Cass doesn't have a pet monkey, but a pet wharf rat. Her rat, Horn, dreams someday of living on a Viking sailing ship and was, of course, given his moniker because of his tendency to never be seen without his Viking helmet.
Now, while some might say that a desire to emulate Pippi Longstocking goes against the spirit of Pippi, we don't believe so. Pippi taught Cass the important things life: have fun, treat good people well, and above all be yourself. If that means you bend some social norms along the way, well, maybe they just needed bending. So, if Cass sees in herself a little of Pippi, then, emulation is, indeed, staying true to herself.
Which brings us back to the interpretation of "cassandrathorn". Is the site, then, properly interpreted as Cass and Rat Horn? No, not really. We are Cassandra Thorn and the interpretation as Cass and Rat Horn is nothing but a bizarre coincidence. Coincidence or not, Cass and her faithful sidekick, Rat Horn, belong here just as do others who speak their mind and follow their hearts. But, alas, copyright laws will prohibit us from publishing tales of their adventures. Or, will they?
