05-July Whitefish to Lake McDonald

Hungry Horse Resevoir

The route for today was short and the standard extension was closed for construction so we did an out and back on the reservoir. Well worth the trip--rolling hills, vistas and low traffic. Alas, after it was back to Hwy2 [shudder]

Lake McDonald

After cooling our heels (and sipping Chai) at Apgar Village, the road was opened for bikes and we headed to the night's lodging. Personally, given the beauty of the area, it is cars that should be restricted and alternative transport encourage.
